After attending the Advance Screening Premiere of 'Centurion' at Jam Factory, I decided that we should finally hit up Basque for some tapas before we made the long journey home. It was only a Monday night but the place was almost full when we arrived.

After browsing the menu, we decided to start off with some deep fried balls of potato goodness. These were very moreish & perfect for a drizzly cold night.

Next up were the lamb cutlets, nothing special but not too bad.

We decided on the asparagus dish to lighten up the meal. This was nice and tangy but I would have preferred a bit more bite to the asparagus.

Fresh asparagus with avocado chunks and sun dried tomatoes

We can never say no to pork belly however this dish was lacking flavour. Really plain once you got past the honey glaze on the outside.

We were stuffed at this point so there was no room for dessert. It was a decent meal but I don't think I'd go back as there are better places to eat at around this area.

Food: 6/10
Service: 7/10
Value: 6.5/10
Will I return? No, the food was okay but not enough for a revisit.

  1. So disappointing when you get an average pork belly dish - it's PORK BELLY, how can something so delicious be made average, right? :)
